  • The main unit is a fixed or hinged core transformer.
  • Suitable for medium-voltage (MV)/high-voltage (HV) cables, joints, switchgear, etc.
  • Integrated compensation function.
  • Current range: Below 7,000 A.
  • Voltage range: 100 V.
  • Power range: Below 1 MVA.
High current test systems are used to test the thermal stability of equipment such as cables. The test system induces a current in the test object causing it to heat up. Therefore, the test object is designed as a shorted circuit. The high current test system measures the temperature of the test object at various points, in addition to the current. As a special feature, the temperature that the test object should reach can be specified and the amount of the current can be automatically calculated by the HIGHVOLT test system.
